OptionFair stopped trading. The company no longer accepts new accounts.
OptionFair became unique in the world of binary options brokers by becoming a publicly traded company in early 2015. Their sister company, TechFinancials Group, is now listed on the AIM stock exchange market, and OptionFair is under the same umbrella. This is very important for traders, especially since the financing means that the operations are absolutely transparent and regularly disclosed to the City. This, along with CySec regulation and MiFID compliance make OptionFair one of the most trusted binary brands.
Additionally, OptionFair’s services are designed with the following trader goals and values in mind:
- High payouts: Big returns of up to 91% are possible in certain markets.
- Expiration in 60 Seconds: Offers traders the opportunity to make quick profits with options expiring in as little as 1 minute.
- Fairness and Transparency: Traders can choose one of a single option to ensure a guaranteed price exchange without spreads, commissions or commissions.
- Trade Choice: Traders are given the option to limit risk or limit profits by closing trades before the agreed upon expiration.
- Pleasant trading: A clear and intuitive platform creates a comfortable trading experience.
- Safe and Segregated Funds: Trader account funds are in segregated accounts separate from the business.
As can be seen from the above objectives, the company aims to enable traders to “trade safely and reliably earn profits through trading various assets”. They focus on fairness, transparency, choice and an enjoyable trader experience.

- trading platform
OptionFair offers a custom platform (created by TechFinancial) that is fast and easy to use. It provides a simple route to any trade. The layout is fairly unique, but it works very well. Certain elements can also be configured.
A trader’s first choice is the trade type. These are displayed as a simple tab-style menu on the left side of the trading platform. The selected option is brought to the forefront. For example, the ‘High/Low’ option offers a traditional High/Low option, but also an Up/Down option for larger payouts.
Next, select Asset Filter. The list below defaults to the most popular trades, but can be filtered by asset category such as stocks, currencies, commodities or indices. The list is automatically updated and defaults to the next expiration time. You can select one of these assets, and once selected, the information displayed to the right of the trading area will be updated with the current information for that asset. An expiration time is required, and can be selected and modified accompanied by a ‘countdown’ as expiration approaches.
The center and right of the trading area are dedicated to the trading buttons, asset price graph, and trade information area. The trading area describes and clarifies potential trade terms. So the ‘high’ or ‘low’ button is in the center, and the price is between the two. This layout may partially change depending on the option type selected.
The amount and payout are displayed to the right of the Trade button. A potential payout will be automatically populated once the amount field is complete. There is also an indicator of whether a trade can be ‘closable’ once opened. On the right is an asset price graph. You can expand it if needed (via the small graph icon in the top right corner of the graph area). There is also a trader selection bar indicating the current sentiment on a particular asset.
Below the graph is the trading area. All open trades are listed and trade performance is tracked. Here you can also edit your trades using OptionFair features such as ‘early close’ prices or latest tournament standings.
Trader’s Choice
OptionFair offers four types of trades.
- High/Low – Traditional Binary Options – Will the price of an asset finish higher or lower at expiration? This option also includes
- ‘Above/Below’, which offers larger payouts but requires larger price swings to end the money. The ‘Above’ and ‘Below’ values are set at different values from the strike price, and as the name suggests, the asset price must end above or below these values to finish in the money.
- Short-Term – Shown as ‘High/Low’, but with a very short expiry time ranging from 5 minutes to 30 seconds.
- One Touch – Does the asset price ‘touch’ a preset level? You can choose either side of the transaction (touch or no touch). OptionFair also offers higher-yield touch options that pay out over 200%, although the preset levels move away from the strike price.
- Boundary – Boundary trading has two preset levels. One higher and one lower. This binary option is whether the price of the asset will complete within ( In ) or out ( Out ) the preset level.
OptionFair’s asset listing features all of the most popular indices, currencies, commodities and stocks. Other companies offer more comprehensive lists, but only the most obscure assets are available at OptionFair, and payouts remain high as liquidity justifies what the asset market offers.
OptionFair Mobile App
OptionFair offers a free trading app compatible with Android (version 4.0 or higher) and iOS devices (currently optimized for iPhone 5). The application has received positive feedback so far and provides a great tool for traders who want to stay up to date with their trades on their mobile devices.
The trading layout is clear and user-friendly. The trade button is prominently positioned and the ‘scrollable’ amount indicator allows traders to swipe to enter trade amounts. Like all asset types, all option types can be used in apps. The asset price graph also works well with mobile layouts.
payout
OptionFair typically offers returns of up to 81% on options. This rate may vary by asset and expiration time. For example, up/down binary options can pay out around 200% to 300% if the price of the asset moves enough. OptionFair’s payouts are generally favorable compared to competitor brokers.
Withdrawal and deposit options
You can open an OptionFair account with no deposit required, but you must pay a minimum deposit of £250 before you can trade.
OptionFair offers a wide range of deposit options. Some have specific deposit limits, so it’s a good idea to check the details first.
- Credit Card – £250 minimum deposit
- Bank transfer – £500 minimum deposit
- Western Union & MoneyGram – £1000 minimum deposit
- E-Wallets – Minimum deposit of £250 for Skrill and Neteller. Other eWallet brands, including iDeal and WebMoney, and some regional brands also pull from OptionFair.
Maximum deposits are limited to £30,000 per day and £150,000 per month.
Withdrawals can be made at any time and there is no minimum withdrawal amount. One withdrawal per month (every 31 days) is free, but there is a £30 charge for subsequent withdrawals in the same month. Please note that bank transfers may also incur charges due to bank transfers.
withdrawal
It is. This isn’t the fastest withdrawal processing in the sector, and that’s what OptionFair can do. Withdrawals that are still ‘pending’ may be cancelled. Funds are immediately returned to your trading account. By completing the verification step, traders can ensure that withdrawals are not delayed any longer than necessary.
